Grab Heetch or Kubinga before landing. Both apps work flawlessly across Luanda. Reliable drivers. No haggling.
Blue Candongueiro minivans save cash. They roll straight along Avenida Revolução de Outubro. Flag one. Hold tight.
Airport express bus links 4 de Fevereiro Airport to city center hotels. Price sits at roughly half an airport taxi. Simple.
Stick to the official yellow taxi stand outside arrivals. Prebook there. Avoid inflated fares from unofficial drivers. Always.
Common Scams to Avoid
Unofficial porters pounce on fresh arrivals, snatching bags before you can blink, then bark inflated fees. Guard your luggage like gold. Say a sharp 'não'. Use only uniformed staff if you want help.
Inside the terminal, taxi touts swarm, quoting fares triple the metered rate. They insist the meter is broken or that fixed prices rule. Ignore them. Walk straight to the official taxi rank outside. Or pre-book through your hotel.
Currency booths near baggage claim shout 'no commission' yet hide rotten rates. They may short-change dazed travelers. Head to the secure zone ATMs instead. Exchange only small amounts after checking the posted rate.
